General wear:

  • We recommend wearing socks with our shoes, moisture and oil from your feet can damage the interior of the shoe, and cause the liner to deteriorate.
  • Do not crush the heel of the shoe while putting on the shoe, this will damage the shoe.
  • For longest lasting wear we recommend letting the shoes “rest” for a day between wears. This habit will prolong the life of the shoes and help preserve their integrity.
  • The sidewall of our shoes is leather painted with acrylic paint, overtime the paint will wear away and absorb common dirt and dust.

Cleaning:

  • Common dirt and dust from wear is best wiped off with damp cloth. Leather and suede will change and develop character with wear, this should be embraced.
  • Do not wash in washing machine, this will damage the shoes. Do not put them in dryer machine.

Resoling:

  • The outsoles on our shoes are replaceable. We recommend replacing the outsoles before they wear down to the leather sidewall. Your local cobbler should be able to handle the job, if you would like you can send them back to us and we will resole them.

Water:

  • Exposing the shoes to rain is okay. Let your shoes dry-out once indoors and try to avoid wearing wet shoes for long periods of time, this can cause damage to the shoes.
  • Avoid fully submerging the shoes in water.
  • Do not wash the shoes in a washing machine.

Heat:

  • Avoid exposing the shoes to excessive heat, do not leave them in a hot car all day etc. this will damage the shoe.
